Redesigning and remodelling jewellery is an environmentally sustainable way to revive old pieces you no longer wear. Precious metals and undamaged gemstones can be utilised, reducing the environmental impact and price of a new piece of jewellery. Whether it be out-of-date, damaged, inherited or jewellery from a previous relationship, the sentimental materials can be repurposed to create a unique design you feel good wearing.
The Re-design Process
Discovery Conversation
Cheree will evaluate the potential of incorporating metals and gemstones into a fresh design, ensuring their reusability. Additionally, she will take precise measurements including finger size, and have an open discussion about your budget.
Design & Sourcing Materials
After having a discovery conversation and gathering relevant information, Cheree will utilize visual inspiration to commence sketching ideas. If necessary, she will also acquire materials and stones.
Technical Drawings
Cheree will provide a CAD drawing based on your specifications. Our prepaid CAD, drawing and rendering fee includes one design change. If you opt for our Bespoke Design, this fee will be deducted from your final project cost.
Fabrication of Design
Before work can begin on your order, a 50% deposit of the purchase price is required. The manufacturing process usually takes 4 to 8 weeks, depending on the complexity of the design. Cheree will keep you updated with regular progress reports throughout the process.
Gemstone Setting
Skilled diamond setters will handle the careful and precise setting of your precious gemstones. The length of the process will depend on the number of gems and the chosen setting style, typically taking around 2 to 3 weeks.
Redesigned Jewellery Realised
Your jewellery will be expertly polished and rhodium plated if required. Your new design can be collected in person or delivered to your nominated delivery address after receiving the final payment.
